Oregon Transportation Tax Referendum Begins

Yesterday, Representative Ed Diehl (R) of District 17 along with Senator Bruce Starr (R) of District 12 and Jason Williams, Director of Taxpayer Association of Oregon, filed a referendum for House Bill 3991 after Governor Tina Kotek (D) sign the bill.

Gov. Kotek (D) used all the time she had in signing the bill making it harder to collect signatures to allow Oregonians a vote on this massive tax increase; a tax increase which disproportionally hurts working families the most.

The referendum will need over 78,000 signatures by December 30th of this year. To help in this effort, there are locations throughout the state where registered voters can sign the petition. For those unable to make it to one of the locations, there is a web site setup to help sign the petition.

If you live in, or around, McMinnville, there are two locations setup that you can visit to sign the petition; NW Logging on Stratus Ave near the hospital and ACCUPRO on Johnson St and 3rd St.

If you live in, or around, Dayton, you can head to the Bypass Tavern to sign the petition.

If you live in, or around, Amity, you can visit Earth & Stone to sign the petition.
